I’ve never watched VICE News Tonight but the new episode is about KC not having a MLK JR street and people not agreeing on where it should be. I didn’t watch the episode but it just premiered today I guess.
on again at 11 cst

the whole issue is really stupid and vice should be using their platform for much more important issues

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Yeah, the only reason I saw it was it was a preview after I finished the new episode of WW.

Weezer is p good but I saw them a few times many years ago and every album since then has sucked so I could see them sucking now.

Cake is worse than spoon. Only worse band I've seen than cake was matchbox 20 at some festival. Cake literally stopped the show and lectured the audience how uncool crowd surfing is and then 10 minutes later threatened to walk off when people didn't stop doing it. No one cared because they sucked anyway.

 :th_twocents:

yes cake has said publicly they absolutely hate touring and only do it bc they have to. iirc at their last city market show they made a tornado joke like the week after Joplin happened
I've seen cake four or five times and I have enjoyed every single show. I think them not enjoying performing is a schtick. One of their shows I was at they gave away a tree to an audience member that answered a question about the Civil War. Fantastic.

Weezer is like one of my favorite bands of all time and they suck live. Like, freaking Cake stole the show of that concert I went to. I was so sad. They also didn't play Island in the sun.  :frown:
This is a remarkably bad opinion Wacky.

DLew, you should definitely see Spoon based solely on the data points of wacky thinking that both they and Weezer suck live.
Spoon is fantastic live. So is Cake. I have heard negative things about Weezer tbh. Grizzly Bear is v. good too if you're a fan of their music (I am).

Also... heard a rumor that mocat has good taste in music but always wants to leave the concert early so take it fwiw  :dunno:

I get his point - it's a 10 minute walk, which isn't much, but if you want to go to westport from downtown via streetcar, it's probably a half hour endeavor (10 minute walk/wait to the streetcar; 10 minutes on the streetcar; 10 minutes to westport).

If someone suggested we take the streetcar instead of ubering in those circumstances, I'd laugh in their stupid face.

They wanted the streetcar to go down Broadway though. You would still Uber in that scenario....the streetcar primary goal is not shuttling Uber taking bar hoppers.

Sure.  It's not supposed to get people to Westport.  But if that's the case, then I understand why Westport bar owners are pissed they're footing the bill for this carnival ride.
