I think I would have gone to the pet store and set about 30 mice free.

i don't get why an airbnb host would steal from a guest.

I'm pretty paranoid about it when I stay in one. In hotels you have a safe, at least.

Staying in an AirBNB seems like the worst thing ever except for hosting AirBNB guests at your home which would be even worse.

That reminds me.  I'm coming up to chicago at the end of the month and need a place to crash.

ya i’d never do the airbnb thing and don’t understand the appeal outside of places that just don’t have hotels

Everyone I know who has used AirBNB says it's great. Seems kind of weird to me, though.

With a hotel, you pretty much know what you're getting. Why roll the dice on some stranger's apartment? Is it frequently a lot cheaper?

Airbnb worked for me and the buds in Nashville. Three bedroom house for $250 a night versus a hotel room for $300+. So, yes, savings plus comfort.

no I don’t.  people have been paying others for rides since cars began.

cabs are dirty and disgusting
cabbies are as well

people treat their personal vehicles much better than the cabs they drive

quality hotels are held to a standard that airbnbs aren’t

It's nice to get a whole house/apt if you have a bunch of people and/or want to do some cooking. There are plenty of photos and reviews to judge a place. It's often less expensive than a hotel, and you can often get prime locations where the hotels are prohibitively expensive. I have honestly never heard anyone say anything negative until just now itt
