We've been considering it, but A: I don't want to sell a house/move with an infant. And B: I don't want to buy a $450,000 house only to have the market crash again and be SOL

That's fair. But we spent way more than half of that for a mansion in OP. It's doable.

I probably (definitely) wouldn't move to OP, and to find something comparable to our house outside of our neighborhood is about 400k

You must have been north of me in Waldo near Brookside. Makes since you wouldn't wanna come this direction with you work. I get it. I work at Mission Farms and with highway access it's only about a 10-15 minute commute. Kinda late Bing it. Will you stay on that side when the lil one grows up?

My wife works downtown too and wants to move closer to work as well. We live just south east of Gregory and ward pkwy

We'll stay on this side, we have to for brewery things. (Managing partner of an alcohol producer must live in state) catholic school or pray for scary Lafayette or something.

Similar note, saw a guy rocking the Patagonia vest in QT last week. It was 70 degrees at 7:30 AM. Can't contain that fall layer fever
