Phil, serious question and don't give a BS answer just to make your argument look better. Has your rent went up downtown since the streetcar was implemented?

Our crap hole was going up $100 a month after the streetcar went in at quality hill. For a shitty machine that only travels 2 miles, that I never use, it seems pretty mumped up tenants have to feel it.

I work downtown and take the streetcar to the crossroads or river market sometimes

Takes longer than 10 minutes to walk from Union Station to City Market.

Little WNK loves riding the Street Car.  We'll park at Union Station and ride it up to City Market for breakfast, then ride it back and check out the model trains at Union Station.  It is fantastic when City Market is crowded with shoppers on the weekends.

Also, I've been on the Street Car a couple times on Sunday mornings and very surprised how busy it is.

Good job KC.

thank you for such a great description.

That's because the tenants got to vote on it while the property owners were left to foot the bill. How do you not understand this? Also, if you can't see the progress that the street car has driven from the river through midtown you're as dumb as well thought. Maybe even dumber?

Where did I ever say I never understood the situation? Also, that area was doing just fine before the streetcar. Stop acting like a 2 mile traveling machine has uplifted downtown from nothing to thriving. SMDH.

WC will you feel different in a few years if it goes out to UMKC and starts to expand all over KCMO?

It's not the street car's fault that you can't afford to live in a mid-tier quality hill rental. Is it? Complaining about rent levels in KC is very dumb.

I could afford it, dumbass. Don't make it personal. I don't think anyone likes it when rent goes up for something they don't give two shits about and/or is useless.

Depends, how much is it going to cost us? I'll probably be on the KS side, CO, or by the coast by the time that ever happens. So sure, pay for it for me and i'll check it out.  :D
