Did my first bone marrow luge last night at Antons.  Seemed silly.

They do have bone-in ribeye but I don't think it's #longbone style.
its gross and anton's isn't worth the price they charge
i did eat a bone in last night though

I've not taken one person there that doesn't call it one of their best steaks ever :ck:
I've just eaten there once but I was underwhelmed. They were out of the grain-fed bone-in ribeye so I opted for the grass-fed on the bartenders rec. Maybe I just prefer grain-fed beef.  :dunno:

Grain-fed is much better than grass-fed.

"It's better for you." Well I'm not eating a 20oz ribeye for health reasons.

has anyone been keeping up with the crossroads/liquor license drama where the owner of properties gets a larger say in who is awarded licenses in the neighborhood surrounding their property?  kcmo is corrupt as ever.

KCMO is trying to fix that. In fact they passed an ordinance to fix it. Of course petition happy KC got enough signatures so now they are trying to come to a resolution or going to put it on the ballot

Complete nonsense as it stands now.

She sure did.  I'm shocked they got that many people to sign that ballot...I think a lot of NIMBY Crossroads people are fine with him being the big bully for them.

Do you guys know about the MR340?  It's a Kansas City / St Louis / Missouri River between here and there thing.

These crazy asses canoe down the river in a race.  My buddy and his son were competing but had to pull out because my buddy got heat stroke.  Looks kinda nuts.  I think it'd be fun, but I'd prefer a Rocky Mountain setting.

I made the calculated decision to wear jeans with a tucked in collared shirt and nice boots to one of those National Geographic powerpoint presentations (after having been to other, what I took as more formal, events before) and regretted that choice.

Also, I think my neighbor is in that show but we somehow managed to escape being required to attend.
