They've been test running the crap out of the street car downtown. How many rough ridin' test runs do they have to have, before opening it up? It just seems pointless now. They've been testing it for two months.

^ great example here

you can basically search through all of wacky's posts, find a "#blessed!" post and then read his previous post and it's solid gold

Man, I love the ridiculousness that is this thread.

kansas city things

I would like to start a public access television show, with that as the name, that is just you, Phil, and kcfd arguing about crap and drinking with Emo and Wacky randomly interjecting their stupid rough ridin' opinions. It would entertain me greatly.

I'm in if clams is.

It is a lot of needless testing that is required prior to getting federal safety sign-off before the public can ride it.  The last two weeks have been the final tests which is simulated service... Basically what you are seeing now is what you will see (frequency, hours of operation etc) when you can ride it... Which is seven days away!!!

as much as it's training for the operators and for federal safety licensing, it's also for public training.  people are still parking on and outside the white line despite how much coverage that damn white line has been getting.  people need to be taught the nuances including how to drive with that thing in traffic, etc.  so i would guess that's part of it.

Definitely... From my office, the train honking at people has went down significantly since the trains have increased frequency. People are starting to get it.

The opportunity for the greatest turnaround in walkable city history exists here today, and it's not one to be taken lightly.
