Not all wings are the same. Some places leave them all soft with rubbery skin. While others (i.e. Peanut, Grinders) tend to get them a little crispier.

i had heard from a few people that tower tavern's wings were great. upon ordering them i discovered they A) do not use the whole wing, they just give you the little cut half-wing deal, (not to mention the wings were not very meaty to begin with), B) they grill the wings for a little bit after frying, which was interesting, in order to get a bit of "char", C) this combo resulted in a small, dry, unsatisfying half wing pile covering my plate

i mean if you don't use the whole wing you are immediately DQ'd from calling them wings.

Our work is having an open bar happy hour at Tavern on Thursday. I'll be the judge of this!

I'm going to start a wing place called the two and one. people who like two boners walk in the front door and order and people that like one boners will walk in the back. basically two separate restaurants with the kitchen/ordering station in the middle. thoughts?

I just imagined a conversation between two wing lovers about where to go eat lunch together and they're like hey what about the two and one and then they keep talking and relize that one of them likes two bones and one likes one boners and that even though they're going to lunch together at the same restaurant they won't be able to sit at the same table or even talk to each other. how hilarious.

"hey, where'd you and Johnson eat today"
"the two and one"
"oh cool. did you get a chance to talk about the emerson merger"
"uh no. we sat at different tables by ourselves in completely different parts of the restaurant"
" "

You can get peanut wings "double dipped" where they fry them, sauce them, and fry them again so they are even crispier wow

4 days in KC for the tourney this week.. give me some Kansas City things to do, eat, etc. (I've never lived in the KC area so only know the obvious stuff)

Downtown hotels will have big 12 Fan info volunteers... If you hit the right hotel at the right time you might have one awesome gE'r give you stud recos

What do you like to do or eat?

Good stuff so far.

Honestly, I'll just be paked the whole time, so between that and a few of the games, that will probably be the extent of the activities. Mostly just looking for places to eat. Love chicken wings, a good burger, bbq, steak, burritos, tacos, fish, sushi. Really not much that I don't like, I guess.

Oh, and we land at 8am Thursday morning, leave Sunday evening. Won't get to partake in any of the Wednesday activities cause I've always been a #NoWednesdays type of guy.

All walkable from sprint for easy of use
Wings... Peanut or Blvd Tavern
Burger... Town topic, tannin, Westside local (brgr in p&l is Meh to me)
BBQ... Plowboys or jack stack. No Winslows.
Steak...antons or majestic
Burrito... Los tules... El patron chicken mole burrito is short uber and worth it... Then across street for ponaks margs
Tacos... Ricos lupe tacos
Fish... Prob Bristol only okay choice. OpenTable it
Sushi... Nara
Unsolicited ... Gyros at zaina (11th and grand)

Overall avoid p&l restaurants... Much better versions of everything in crossroads or other downtown neighborhoods.

Wings Cafe in Westport/Northland has the best wings in the city hands down IMO. Awesome selection of sauces (wet and dry) and the wings are huge. Firecracker and Slap-Yo-Mama are my favs. It's right there on Broadway in Westport so not too far from Sprint/Downtown. Would love to hear some reviews from you wing connoisseurs as it's my go-to place in the city.

or if you dont feel like walking half a mile to any of those places you can take the street car but be careful because it often hits cars

Cars more often hit each other.

i would guess that fewer than 50% of the cars in this city have hit another car

Cars more often hit each other.

no doubt- but were talking about a train in the middle of a road smashing into parked cars

So what happened when the streetrainbus hit the car? Like did it have to sit there for an hour blocking traffic while they waited for a tow truck?
:adios:

someone called the police and they issued the parked car a ticket for being smashed into while parked by a train that could have stopped and called for a tow because it was in testing and not in a hurry
