asked a friend who's home and work  literally have the streetcar tracks outside their front door if she was excited for the streetcar and she gave me this look like a was a rough ridin' idiot and said "no, why would i be".  when i mentioned proximity to home and work she was like "so what, i can walk or drive already"

starting to think this thing might be a flop :frown:

She'll come around.  I'm one who will probably walk the route more than jump on the streetcar for the same distance but can still see the the benefits.

lots of my friends live in rivermarket. every time they're at the brewery they're like "man parking sucks" and I'm all "betcha can't wait for that streetcar" and they're all "nah" and I'm all

I think people that live there will use it way more than they think, it just takes time to adjust to a new kind of transportation. Also, am excited to hear plans for taking it to the plaza. I really think that's the minimum to make the whole system work the way it's supposed to.

KC residents are dumbasses about parking...I've never driven to DS but walking there, there is open parking everywhere.

Mass transit is soooo big city, that's why KC folks have trouble with it.   Plus all the white flight 'burb raised kiddos now trying to hipster it up in hipster land.

I think I've already covered this elsewhere, weirdo.

Not a lot of "white flight" around here.

I think it should stop when requested. Food options are awesome. If it goes to plaza that will be good.
