It's not a pure KC thing, but they opened a Scheels in OP, and it's like the most amazing place ever.
too big, very annoying

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I feel like this needs to go to the plaza or westport for it to accomplish much.  Either that, or it needs to go east to prospect and back.

obviously that is the goal, but what you see now is the extent of what was approved with phase 1 or whatever.

however, phase 1 will be amazing for out of town people.

That is fantastic.  The problem I see, is that there isn't a lot of great parking options in that zone that aren't already congested.

like i said, it is more for the out of town visitor than anyone else at this point. a lot of people stay at the westin / sheraton in crown center and then do things downtown

Tons of parking actually... Too much damn parking. This will help those that do Park not have to get back in their cars and drive closer to their 2nd destination.

At this point it's as much an economic development tool as it is a transportation tool... Like mocat said, the plan is already to go to the plaza/umkc.... This is just phase 1.

Is there a timeline for phase 2?  Does phase 2 require another vote?  Is it based on the use/viability of phase 1 over a certain period of time?

Phase 2 efforts will begin once this line is going... Thought is people see it in action and are like "hey I want to take that further". It will require a vote. Prior vote for phase 2 was more extensive (went to waldo and east) and failed at the booth.... Mostly on the East side. So new phase 2 won't go east.
