I kind of doubt Schlitterbahn hired any engineers.
The owners basically designed it on the fly.  They tested it with sandbags as the crash test dummies. :horrorsurprise:

they hired a structural engineering firm to ensure the structure was designed properly. they would not have been able to get the project permitted without one. the functionality of the ride is unrelated to the stability of the structure. there is no review or permit process that i know of for the safety of the functionality of a water slide, which is pretty wild.

shakespeare in the park is back after a couple years off. went last night and r&j is not my favorite but still great obviously. one of the more fun date nights you can have on a summer night in kc

I was so confused by seeing that tweet of an axle then heard it hit a dump truck.  Seems that would put the SW Chief out of commission for a while?
