http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/42-mind-blowing-maps-have-missed-the-world-atlas.html#

Post the maps 42!

Not posting all 42 because some are already in this thread, but here are a few that I found most interesting...

18. Racial segregation in New York
(Blue – White, Green – Black, Red – Asian, Orange – Hispanic)

10. The only countries Britain did not invade

3. The distribution of 9 different types of outlet and plug

15. In 1992, approximately 29,000 rubber ducks fell off from a cargo ship in Pacific Ocean. This is the route they flowed.

17. Average age at first sex
(Red and Orange – Age 15-18, Yellow – Age 19, Green – Age 20-23)

24. Map of the most iconic fast food chain in each state

I'd like to see an xy plot of that map, where the x axis is the river, and the y is the height of the tallest peak in that drainage.

did the mississippi used to be called the Missouri? Also the St. Lawrence River is pretty cool.

when two rivers meet, the longer river's name gets used from then on. the missouri's source is farther away than the mississippi's, so technically it should be the missouri, but the mississippi was "discovered" and named first, before it was known how far away the source of the missouri river is.

That's not correct.  It's the larger (flow volume) river who's name is kept.
