I don't know if it really does effect recruiting, but I am tired of the public interviews where he alludes to him not being here long.

I'm in agreement with Bill on the position being grossly overpaid, and I challenge him to negotiate a lower salary as compensation for his time.  #putyourmoneywhereyourmouthis

Don't believe Snyder has ever turned down a raise, wouldn't that be the thing to do if he truely felt overpaid?  Doesn't that conflict with his "values"?  Snyder may think these things, but he knows he saved the University through football, and i'm pretty sure he takes great joy in that.

He said the same thing, like, three years ago.

Snyder's problem is that he's an addict.  There are a lot of people who don't like something that they're doing, or they feel bad doing it, but they can't stop because they're addicted.

You could probably get a flip side to that interview where he says that he loves the mentoring side of it, working with youngsters, giving back to the Kansas State community, etc.

It's pretty clear that he'd probably like to be retired, but he can't walk away from the game or Kansas State.  He's kind of stuck in purgatory.

If he were sitting in a suite on Saturday while Sean was coaching, he'd be standing there by himself with a notepad, and he'd be in the locker room as soon as the game was over.

I agree with him. The money flow has been a blessing for us though, he shouldn't mock that...

Gotta love Snyd's

Oh man. The comments are off to a great start. I'm not even sure what this one means, but I like it:

Quote
Weh weh weh. What a crybaby. Teach your little Mildcats some defense and you might could enjoy the game a little more. Has nothing to do with money, just being tough.

Also, when was the last time you came across the use of "might could"? It's been awhile for me.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I am so terrified that the "might could" saying in the only thing I will bring back to KS with me when I move home from MS. :(

What a load of crap from Snyder.

The same guy who under the previous regime wanted lump sum payments set up in such a way so as to possibly avoid taxes.

If he really feels like he's overpaid, than decline the $2.75 million a year new contract (which made him the 2nd highest paid state employee behind Bill Self), ask for significantly less money, and insist that money not used for his salary be used to pay assistant coaches and/or plowed back into facilities and technology for the football program.

What a self serving load of tripe.

Sad

He is full of crap.  That said, I would love if they took that salary and put it into assistants.  We would be very well off if they did that.

No being BITB means never apologizing for the money you make, or stating that you're overpaid.

Snyder once again showing why he's BITB

What?  How?  By basically telling recruits that he most likely won't be around for their full time at KSU if they choose to come here?

No. BITB means he gets to lie his ass off to reporters and troll all you hayseeds. He walks away from that interview looking squeeky clean but once he gets back to the office he's gonna slip some hundreds into a envelope and hand it to #life and then go make about 20 impermissible phone calls.

It's not trolling when you know every bit of the man's salary history at K-State and the things he's done insofar as his LLC and other things go over the years.   All he does in this article is come off as a cranky old man, and when Dodd's documents his salary then it leads right into an easy question of why he takes the money if he think's he's overpaid.

Terrible.

BITB is a Jim Calhoun style answer that says I'm worth every effing penny.
