"Meanwhile in Afghanistan..."

Man, people are dumb.

Welp, this board is not as smart as I thought it was.

Post more updates to your thread.

If there's anything I hate more than being stereotypical it's being predictable. (yep).

BTW, this one's not even hard. You should feel like a rough ridin' idiot if you believed it.

I don't think whether it was a fact or not was important. It was just to illustrate his point.

also a major player is how much media is available. with all the photos and video there is more to cover. just like the Japanese tsunami got so much more coverage than the Indonesian tsunami. because there was so much more pictures and video to show.

Seems clear that since the usual overseas suspects have not spoken up and claimed responsibility, this appears to be a home grown bombing.

Aren't we surprised that no one has taken responsibility?  I mean usually you have three or four different groups saying it was them.

Yeah, but you would think if you're smart enough to make a bomb, you'd be smart enough to be in a secure location when it goes off. Unless he wanted to die and then that's a whole different moster in itself.

Travis Tannahill ?@Ttannahill80 11m
Remember when GW Bush gave that passionate speech after 9/11 that gave ya chills? Pres O's was the complete opposite.

jfc

To be fair, that was a pretty awesome speech. But comparing a speech after yesterday to a speech after 9/11 is so rough ridin' moronic it hurts.

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing tannahill is a bit biased

Last I read, he was watching Rick Perry on the hunting channel and tweeting about how he wished Perry was president.

I meant how other groups who were not involved take credit.  Like a freebie attack.

Well yeah, but Obama's speech wasn't supposed to a be a "rally the whole nation" type deal. An attack like 9/11 is a once in a lifetime thing. The whole nation was scared shitless. Absolutely petrified.

Also, WTF is an act of terrorism worth if you're not going to tell the world why you did it?  There's either some stuff that hasn't been released yet (like mailed letter/confession/video's) or this really was some hack job from someone terribly bored and depressed and deranged.

Is this the same Salon.com that had a piece titled Let's Hope the Boston Marathon Bomber is a White American?

Man, there is some pretty great stuff from Arabs on twitter about how white these guys are. I'm pretty sure entirety of social media in the middle east has CNN on blast.

I'm also really enjoying everyone "calling out the racists who assumed they were Muslim" right now. Really, an amazing day of social media from so many different angles.
