wasn't just Fox either, CNN had a headline "OBAMA STATEMENT DOESN’T SAY ‘TERROR" before his speech was even over.

I have met Travis in real life, he is an okay guy but this really isn't shocking to see coming from him.

Also that Fox News guy needs to just disappear forever.

Probably a youtube video that caused it.  Looking forward to Obama claiming he did call it a terrorist attack in a few weeks and everyone calling fox news liars for saying he didn't.

Regardless, politicizing this stuff is disgusting

If only the people watching the race had guns this could have been avoided.  Better yet, if they were allowed to be armed with bombs themselves they could have bombed the bombs and saved some lives.

I'm ready to believe that media reaction is partially to blame for these types of events. What can be done to change the coverage that assholes receive for their misdeeds? We can't just rely on the police to disappear suspects without media scrutiny.

Political tint: This loser earned a bunch of guys in Gitmo a healthy sentence extension.

I think their role is significant, but they are only doing what the public demands. Bet their ratings ($) were really high today.

Is a bomb sniffing dog a "type" of dog?  I mean almost any dog can be trained to hit on certain scents, be it drugs or explosives or something else.  It's not like there's a certain breed for that.  Maybe they were speculating because looking for pot is a weird thing to do at a marathon? :dunno:

Real World or Exercise?

"At the starting line this morning, they had bomb sniffing dogs and the bomb squad out there," he said. "They kept announcing to runners not to be alarmed, that they were running a training exercise."

Welp, this board is not as smart as I thought it was.
