Nobody that just 2 years ago was railing on the rich and how they don't pay their fair share, who then turns around complains about taxes being too high is a stud on any level.
Sadly some of you are just . . . dumbasses.
Bill Maher probably paid between 35-40 percent of his income into taxes last year, and lament it as he does he still paid it - which is the key point in this distinction - and does not make him a hypocrite, especially when he has the resources and income type to avoid it if he wanted. What he rails against are the mega-rich, super-rich businesses and individuals who HAVE schemed out of it or just simply have it codified to pay no more than 18% of their income towards taxes which he himself pays (and then some). He is, in fact, in a better position to argue this than almost anyone else.
Besides, complaining about high taxes, the people who don't pay them and what they're used on, while still paying them is a right of passage in this country, something I'm sure you and your other 60 year old retired friends with pulled up white socks talk about while staring blankly and open-mouthed into the yonder of your driveway.
