Watched him the other night. He said he's ok with all of the spying on citizens as long as Obama is in office, but he really worries if a conservative becomes president.

which i guess is different than every neocon on this board being ok with bush spying, but not obama.

Did this come out during GWB's term?

As a moderate, I don't like either one of them using this stuff.  The biggest problem I have is that they hide behind the guise of "protecting Americans", but if our government cared at all about security, the borders wouldn't be wide open to let Canadians, or whomever they let into their country, walk right through the forest into the US of A. I have Canadian friends, but they're here legally.

Yes. Bush signed the Patriot Act. Obama perpetuates it. Both presidents deserve plenty of blame for it.

I watched about 10 minutes of it, and the audience doesn't seem to know when to laugh. He was ranting about religion, and at the end there was about a 2-3 seconds of silence, then all of the sudden the audience breaks out into a half-laugh, like the laugh sign came on but they didn't really want to because it wasn't funny. It's awkward to watch sometimes.

I think the laugh track guy was just a little slow on the trigger while I was watching. The high probably wore off by the end of the show. :bigtoke:

Bill Maher kind of rubs me the wrong way sometimes, but the right wing dudes should probably just shut up about him not being funny until they find somebody better than the Bill O'Reilley/Dennis Miller comedy tour to run up against him.

The only Bill Maher episode worth watching is the one where Tony Snow humiliates Bill and his crew of snarky, adolescent,  imbeciles.  After that Bill had to find obscure right wingers to make sure his pathetic played out rhetoric stayed on course.

Nobody has cared what the crypt keeper has had to say since HBO was free for a month when signing up for Paragon cable.

Wait, just to clarify, Charles Krauthammer is the crypt keeper. Bill needs a different nickname. He does look strikingly similar to Julian Assange, but that's a little obscure.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

That was really good. I'd been wondering when I would see that.

Yeah, there was a pretty good NSA wiretap scandal in January 2006.
