I want to say no, but we have at least been in the picture seriously a couple of times since he's been here. Now you answer me a question. What on God's green earth makes you think ANYONE can accomplish that feat?

Loser mentality that allows people like oscar to stick around.

Not talking about oscar. Talking about Snyder. Tell me someone KSU could realistically hire who could do a better job than him. That was the argument.

I would tolerate losses to double digit seeds forever and ever if he wins the conference every year.
I would not.  The currency of a coach should be tournament wins. Whats the point of doing well in your conference if you crap it away every year?

Well, I'm assuming the league has sort of bottomed out. I also don't think the regular season Big 12 champ will lose many games to double digit seeds, but understand it will happen from time to time.

Didn't we have a thread to measure a coach's "goodwill" or something a while back? like, assigning points for certain accomplishments?
Yeah I an loathe to bump it koug style though.

Please do, it wouldn't be koug style. Because I don't think you'd be doing it as a lame "told you so".

No, oscar doesn't suck.  He is mediocre in actual sense of the word. Applebees.

Yes, this is the problem. Wooly stunk, but it was K-State's fault for keeping him around so long. oscar is more likely to be like Altman and Asbury, and that's what leads to coaches like Wooly.

I liked it when he said we'd be an 8 seed next year. Lol

Well the argument is that loser mentalities like yours keep coaches around who are not capable of winning anything.  But realistically, K-State could hire Nick Saban tomorrow.  They're just not willing to do it because losers like yourself are content with almost having a chance.

I could not think of anything worse.

To have such a build up to be shot down so hard yearly.  Would be the worst.

My scenario would never happen, FWIW.

Not unless we end up in some shitty conf after Texas blows the conference up.

Gary Patterson.  And we'd be an actual program then.

There it is. Our conversation is over. If you're delusional enough to think Nick Saban would come through the door, even for 20 million per year, then there's no point in further discussion. Have a nice day. I will no longer respond to you.

He's had chances to come and hasn't. Plus, what has he done that convinces you he could recruit better talent than Coach S?  Do NOT equate his recruiting at TCU since that school is in the heart of Texas and we ar not.

That guy's loser mentality is so strong that he thinks that someone wouldn't coach us for $20M/season.

I gave you someone who was going to come until Weef stepped in.  That's what you wanted.  Someone that we could have hired instead of Bill who could have had success.  Gary rough ridin' Patterson could have and when he did, we'd look like a real life program instead of  Bill's wooden boy.

The fact that the 2012 recruiting class combined for zero minutes today sure doesn't make you feel good about the future

Chingon to answer your OP, this is the beginning of the end.  I know this because I'm old and have seen these things before.
