My bro's son was born today.  I know I have to buy a Playboy.  Not sure what else to do.   :dunno:

I'm a year in front of you on this Uncle stuff....sorry you have to follow in my footsteps, I'm pretty good at it.

Set up a 529 account for him...buy a bunch of crap for him: Loud toys, emaw clothes, etc.

When the kid gets old enough, like eight, buy him a switchblade.  A real good quality switchblade.

Yeah, this really needs clarification.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

actually your most important job is to teach him a bunch of inappropriate behavior and then encourage it as often as possible.  it's the ultimate sibling revenge.  but that won't start for at least a couple of years.

Yes, and to give real-life advice that Dad can't give.  If you have a kid your bro should do the same.  Being an uncle is like the best job in the world.  You just have to choose. Do you want to be Uncle Jessie or Uncle Joey?  Don't try to be both it's a toxic mix.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I am uncle about 60x over and I must really be a shitty one because I haven't done half of the stuff listed here...starting with the Playboy.

When you babysit, let him stay up late and eat junk food and stuff.

Well I guess that's better than giving it to the baby to make him hungry.

Oh man share the creepy ones!  :excited:

Also I decided I'm going to get him a gold coin instead of a savings bond.  Because like gold is going to be worth way more in 20 years when he chooses to cash it in because he's short on funds to head down to Padre for Spring Break!

That gold coin will likely have less buying power in 20 years than it does today.

Relative to a savings bond, no.

are a gold coin or savings bond your only options? both seem pretty stupid.

Have to pay capital gains though right?  Think index will outperform gold by that much?
