4-18 2pt
2-9 3pt
8 TOs
First half.... any questions?

We were lucky to be down only 8 putting those dreadful numbers that amounted to 16 pts.    Yes we did get the lead down to 3 early 2nd, but a KU run (which we knew would happen since they played bad 1st hf offense too)  got the lead up to 12 pts.    And for the most part the game was over

Sound familar?  The night before, OK St played awful in 1st hf, in which Mr Brown saw pine for 17 minutes.  But Ksu only led by 5 at half.  The Cats came out on a run and had a 13pt lead by the under 12  timeout, and the game was all but over

We missed a ton of good looks.   They were allowed to play ridiculously physical officiating didn't cost us the game but 6-0 6-0 changed it for sure.

Kougs you gotta let it go man. This is not a loss worthy of a meltdown. We were picked 5th preseason and ended up with a trophy, made the tourney finals, and are going to be favored to make the sweet 16 playing in Kansas City.

Everything we've done up to this point has been to get seeded and play at home. We did that... Fresh start. Gotta get the wins in KC

Psh. Have you ever seen me meltdown? This is no meltdown.

Well you're not being positive. I want to hear you say something nice about our KSU wildcats to make things better... It'll be therapeutic. Go.

Don't worry....the big 12 just announced they will share that trophy also bcuz another teams fans didnt like the way it was officiated.

I mean, I can't believe someone paid to coach basketball would think this. No one beats KU by slowing down the game. Most of their losses over the last couple of years have been at or above their normal pace. None have been significantly slower, except for Kentucky last year and Northern Iowa.

I'm thoroughly enjoying Kougs' non-meltdown  Mostly because he's right.

Fun random fact.  Last 3 times Snyds has played KU his teams have avd' 58 ppg. oscar's last 3 vs KU we avg'd 56.6. We just can't score on those guys.  Tempo doesn't matter, we can't beat them at any pace because we can't score efficiently.

We had our 2nd worst 3PT shooting game in the Big 12 and only 8 assists on 21 makes for our worst assist rate of the season. Our offense wasn't good and we missed quite a few open shots. They were way over their average on 3s and we were way under so the game became a large margin. A slower pace where we hit a significant number of 3s was the best way for us to win and we failed.

I really dislike it when our fans overreact to KU losses, though I have come to expect it.

Against KU? Get better (more talented) players. Our recent wins involved the most talented players ever at K-State (Beasley) and one of the best players in K-State history playing the best game of his career (Pullen). 05 was a complete fluke and really the only time a KU time has had a terrible half of basketball against K-State in a really long time. Our game in Manhattan this year was a good formula and recipe (KU didn't play great) but if you go that route you have to hit your shots. I think we went with a similar plan yesterday and made even fewer shots.

But now it doesn't matter, we aren't going to see KU unless its really really deep in the tournament so the same problems don't apply. I like that we beat a pretty good OSU team Friday night too, we should be fine playing with anyone we see the first weekend.

Pullen had a career night when we beat KU in 08, too.

Need to find a way to make flukes happen with more regularity. Like a perpetual motion machine, or something

I'm honestly not sure that anyone in the country can defend us as well as KU has been able to this year. They are a senior led team with tall/athletic/physical guards, a shot blocking monster down low, and three ultra-athletic power forwards.

I don't even think they have 1.

I mean, it's Kevin Young. And Ellis had 2 good games this entire year. Nino has had just as many.

We aren't supposed to expect to beat them, so any reaction to a loss to them is overreacting.
