The BSC trash talk is the best thing ever. In a year when there is no longer a BSC it will be meaningless and their Orange Bowl victory will be for naught, much like our Fiesta bowl victory that is always forgotten in these discussions.

I always thought track and field was an individual sport. They actually name a national championship team for track and field? Like, does the whole team get invited to nationals, including the shitty athletes in events that the school isn't very good at?  And they do this for both indoors and outdoors? Seems weird.

I mean, yeah, I can see naming a conference champ because every school is represented in every event. Do they just rank teams and invite shitty athletes from some schools to the nationals so that the school can compete for a national championship? If not, how do they determine the winner? It seems like a load of garbage, either way.

It's track.  Basically, if you aren't in for an Olympic spot, everyone should just get participation ribbons or something. Like at big pizza party at the end of May.

KU had a girl who went to the olympics then they made her sit on the bench while the real runners went and won a gold.

KU is basically good at the sports that the elementary kids play on the last day of school before summer vacation.

That's a good point. One year, my elemetary school scheduled a Super Kids Day and it was raining, so they moved all of the events into the gym. Let me tell you, it was a whole different ballgame when they took the elements out of the equation.

How did you guys celebrate your Big 12 baseball title?   

Well that was back in 2006, iirc, and no one really cared that much because we're KU, and we're used to winning the Big 12.
