I averaged a goal per game my senior year in HS.

Got recruited to go to Friends University  :gocho:
Friends recruited a guy who could not start on his high school football team.

I didn't play football, so I'm not entirely sure why this is relevant.

I was a featured student in the KSU recruiting pamphlets sent to high schools. I would bet enrollment increased!

Grand wizard doesn't count, I don't think. You have to be able to take off your hood and be recognized by face to be a local celeb, imo.

Rode in cart and played 9 holes with Brad Underwood several years ago at Catbacker event. He peed in the trees. Was riding with him when it was announced that John Currie had been hired and I also broke the news to him that Huggins had fallen down in an airport.  He chuckled a bit at the Huggs news.  After the tourney I stood in line for the buffet next to Josh Freeman and we talked about the Auburn game.   :billdance:

My grandpa passed away a couple of years ago and I ended up buying his house last year.

He was part of the 398th bomb unit based outside of London during WW2 and was very proud of his service to our country. When I moved in to the house there were still some posters hanging in the garage from a reunion trip to London in 2000 listing all the people in his unit who died.

I saved the poster's and finally got around to framing it along with some old pictures, one of which was the actual flight path for a bombing of Berlin on May 8th 1944. I hung it up next to some old Stars and Stripes Newspapers with headlines about the war ending that he had saved.

Ben Ji is the coolest and most interesting stud on this blog.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

On the way back from the gym Tuesday around 9:30pm, i saw some kid in a Ford Ranger trying to dig himself out of the snow with a big akward snow shovel.  Stopped, asked if he needed a hand, and got out the tow strap to pop the poor kid out.  Always prepared and drive a jeep, the best.

Also, i've been fighting a cold, finally broke down and got some generic cough syrup... i went generic because Nyquil has Acetaminophen  and i didn't want it interfering with my nightcap.  Turns out the stuff was 10% booze, since they forewent the pain reliever.  I'm cough free and feeling good.

I really just wanted to brag about the whiskey-cough syrup combo.

That's cool that your ended up with it, both my gpa's flags went to the oldest child so we have none in my immediate family.

grandpa stuff is neat.

My grandpa is 85 and an emeritus professor.  In December my sister graduated and they let him give her her diploma.  When it came time for my sister they announced his name, his college, and that he was an emeritus professor presenting his granddaughter with her diploma.  He's still in decent shape, but moves a little slow because he's 85.  They forgot to give him a heads up, so it took him 10 seconds to get up there.  During that time all of faculty from my sister's college and on the stage gave him a pretty good applause with a few of them standing up.  The crowd gave him a decent applause as well.  He walked in/out with the procession, so afterwards many of them, including some provost/dean level people, came up to him to shake his hand and told him it was cool he was able to do that at his age.  It's one of the top-5 coolest things I've ever seen.

Sorry to go off on the grandpa tangent in this thread.

On Tuesday I was sitting in the library and I thought to myself: "Could I crush 4 brewskis in under a minute?  I should try."  I was originally planning on trying on saturday.  I impromptu'd it tonight:  34 seconds.

This thread was never very good, but it's become rough ridin' awful.  Just the worst.
