Sweet finish to the Travelers Championship with Ken Duke getting his first win on Tour at the age of 43. Our boys both made the cut and finished pretty well. Watkins finished at -3 and T30 banking $32,584.17 while Streb finished at E and banking $13,542.

Both players will be in this weeks AT&T National at the highly regarded Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD.

After a missed cut at Congressional CC, Streb finished -3 T41 at this past weeks Greenbrier Classic, banking a cool $20k. He sits at 131st on the FedexCup points list. (The top 125 on the list retain their PGA Tour cards for the 2014 season.) Streb is only 20 points behind the 125th place player, with plenty of time left to make it. Streb will be playing in this week's John Deere Classic in Silvis, IL

Watkins has missed his past two cuts at Congressional and The Greenbrier but will be looking to rebound this week as he is also in the field at TPC Deere Run. Sitting at 169th on the FedexCup money list, and 161 points behind Streb, he's going to need a solid finish to the season to make the 125.

I have a feeling one of these guys is going to have a solid finish this week at the John Deere.

In other news, local legend Tom Watson finished one stroke better than Streb at -4 and T38 at The Greenbrier. Mr. Watson (the 2014 Ryder Cup Captain) will be playing this week in Omaha, NE at the Senior US Open Championship.
Watson is also coming off a victory in the Watson Challenge that was held at The National GC in Parkville. After losing the trophy last year to the former Kansas State golfer and current pro on the NGA Tour, Joseph Ida, Watson won back the cup and was crowned the Kansas City area's best golfer 2013. (Doberman_CATS!!! failed to qualify for the event and slammed  :drink: as a result)

Solid start for Streb today, shoots a -5 66 and is currently two back of the clubhouse leaders. Watkins is just getting his round started.

Streb finishes in 22nd place at -13 banking $47,840 and gaining 47 FedexCup points which should put him inside the top 125. He will be playing next week at the Sanderson Farms Championship since he will not be in the field for The Open Championship.

Watkins missed the cut and will also be playing at the Sanderson next week.

Former Tejas golfer, 19 year old Jordan Spieth won the John Deere Classic this week in a sweet playoff with Zach Johnson and David Hearn. He became the first teenager to win on Tour since 1931 banking $828,000 for his efforts.

Caddie Races today, first caddie to touch green gets $50. (Very fun when hammered and betting on caddies)

Derby, KS resident Woody Austin is currently tied for the lead in the PGA Tour's other event this week, Sanderson Farms Classic.

Streb and Watkins missed the cut.

Streb finished t46 at this week's Reno-Tahoe Open. Watkins missed cut. Little brothers Gary Woodland won. That's it, hungover from Vegas, Dobs out.

This is the biggest week of the year for our PGA TOURCATS as they both need solid finishes to make the Fedex Cup Playoffs and earn their Tour card for next year. Here is how the Fedex Cup playoffs works:

Top 125 point leaders earn Tour card for 2014 and exemption into The Barclays, the first tournament of the playoffs August 22-25.

Top 100 after The Barclays moves on to play in the Deutsche Bank Championship August 30-Sep 2nd.

Top 70 make the BMW Championship September 12-15th.

Then the top 30 points leaders play in the TOUR Championship Sep 19-22nd with $10 million on the line for the winner of the Playoffs. Last year Brandt Snedeker won the TC AND the Playoffs resulting in an $11.44 million payday. (You can win the TC and not win the playoffs, all depends on how many points you have. For more info go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FedEx_Cup)

Streb currently sits at 133rd in points and will need to finish 23rd or better this week at the Wyndham Championship to break into the top 125.

Watkins is 185th in points so he will need a 2nd place finish to get into the top 125.

Follow live scoring tomorrow here http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/wyndham-championship/leaderboard.html
Streb is off at 11 am, Watkins at 1250.

Streb is -1 on the day thru 10, sitting at T21, if he keeps it up he'll be on tour next year!

Streb finished 126th, missed an 11 foot birdie on 18 that would have clinched a spot in the Payoffs and his Tour Card. They will now need to play in the Web.com Tour playoffs to get their Tour card back, otherwise they will be on the Web.com Tour next season.

Robert Streb is in the field this week at the Frys.com Open on a sponsors exemption. This is the first event of the 2013-2014 PGA Tour Season. If Streb finishes well he will continue to get exemptions into PGA Tour events, if not then he will be playing on the Web.com Tour with fellow KSU'er Aaron Watkins this year.

He currently sits at -2 (T7) thru 14 holes in round 1.

Streb finished t19 and cashed a nice little $76,555 payday.

He is not in the field this week at the Phoenix Open (awesome tourney to watch though).

His first Web.com tourney is Feb 13 but with the way he has been playing, wouldn't be surprised if he got an exemption into the PGATour's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am that week.

Went to the Phoenix open yesterday. Sat in the grandstands on 16 from 745 till about 330 after bubba finished. It was freaking wild. Like a combo tailgate and game all day long where the chicks were all dressed  slutty and the weather was great.

Streb is in the field this week at the ATT Pebble Beach Pro Am. He shot a smoking -5 and is three shots back of the lead.
