the lesson I've learned here is that if you want to be a bigot just put the bigoted phrase in quotes and you're cool.

Using the term "Jew" as a verb is as contemptuous as it gets as you are relating the term back a historical meaning of "dirty/filthy". This term and the "N" word have a similar background (epistemologically). To answer your question to since when...since you've been saying it. I'm not Jewish, but my family is (I was adopted at age 10 and I asked to keep my faith). This isn't about butt hurt.
