What you should have posted.

The best teams get the calls, especially in late game situations. We're the best team, and its not even close. 9ST8.

yup.  a couple years ago, the refs loved/were scared of frank.  we got a ton of LOL calls.  we also embraced it.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I love getting all the calls.  Who doesn't?  There are certain privileges that come with being King, like getting your knob constantly slobbed by the officials, for instance.

you'd be overjoyed if it was the other way around.  admit it.

Absolutely.

But the difference is most (all?) people at gE would thoroughly enjoy rubbing it in the faces of others, especially when loser fans came telling us how they got hosed.

Quote from: typical gEer
Of course the best team got the critical calls. That's what happens to loser programs against the best programs. Get better or deal with it.

  Also, Ben gets it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

That didn't even look like a goal tend it's way different then an obvious charge not called followed by a phantom bail out call.  Even if they would have called the goal tend OSU has the ball down 2 with 45 seconds left so you can't say with any certainty that KU wins in regulation under that scneario.  I can say with about 99% certainty that ISU wins the game if the proper calls were made at the end.

so you are saying that ISU should have won the game and are blaming the officials for them losing?

So KU gets all the calls and that is the reason they own the league every year?

 :horrorsurprise:

(btw, Johnson scored 30 points in last 15 minutes of the game...which had nothing to do with it right?)

Yes to the first part that is exactly what I'm saying ISU should have won the game and got screwed.  On the second part no that isn't what I said at all.  KU doesn't get all the calls they probably get more then their share but they don't get them all. Officiating isn't in the top 5 reasons why they win the league every year though it certainly doesn't hurt their cause.

Gotta say, I'm really enjoying cork's contribution to this thread. Is he somebody's sock? He just lobs up every softball idiotic excuse being offered by KU fans to justify that travesty of an ending and then WHAM, one brilliant poster or another swats it down. Well done cork and goEMAW.

The commentators agree it was a travesty, the freakin' Big 12 agrees it was a travesty, but KU fans just keep on truckin'!

you are just mad that KU got the benefit of a few bad calls.  you'd be overjoyed if it was the other way around.  admit it.

please tell us how you would feel/react if ku were on the wrong end of this senario.........i don't expect your honesty, but it damn well better be good......

And now we have oscar doing some weird/gross tongue thing while gawking at the refs after Angel gets tossed a quarter of the way down the court and gets called for blocking.

If I was a coach, with in the first 5 min of ever game I would threaten to murder at least one ref until I was T'ed up.  Seems intimidating the ref to the point of getting a T usually works out pretty well.

i NEVER blame officials and I would be okay with losing that game.  Plus, we would have had our chances in overtime and I knew we got away with a few calls earlier in the game.  IMO I would point to going 1-6 from 3 and being poor defensively down the stretch as to why we lost.

it was one of the best games of the year in college basketball IMO regardless.

Had the refs not been inconsistent at a negligent level during the last 10 seconds of the game, the rest of the officiating during the course of the game would only be fodder for the two fan bases, and not a nationally discussed issue, nor an issue that required a conference press release.

So all the  :blah: :blah: about what happened at the 14:48 mark of the 2nd half is immaterial.

if ku had lost because of the same officiating issues then it wouldn't be a talking point either.  right?  it's just the fact that ku benefited from a few blown calls late.  the only people that whine about the refs on the KU side are idiots on phog.net and casual bandwagon fans.

Oh come on man, had ku been the on the receiving end of those true game deciding calls Mass street would still be a pile of flaming cars and torched store fronts.   A former coach at ku alluded to conspiracy and the ku fanbase unified behind him and whines about it still to this day.

a major portion of the fanbase for sure, probably more fans than KSU has total across the country.  there are still plenty that don't whine like babies about officials.  you can choose to identify the bandwagoners and casual idiots as representative of the entire fanbase though, I have no problem with that.  most elite programs can't help but attract these types of fans in droves.

No one here disputes that ku has more T-Shirt/Sticker basketball fans than K-State does.

i doubt it because of the overtime.  if the game ended on a call like that then any fans would be super pissed but it didn't.

Don't lump all KU fans in with that. I admitted the call was blown, admitted Babb's foul was weak, and admitted there was no reach foul.  I'm not going to apologize for getting a win regardless of how much help was required to get it.
