I'm going to commit to giving up on The Walking Dead for good, mostly based on principle. It averages 3 to 4 times as many viewers as Breaking Bad and Mad Men, and that's just sickening to me.

Its a great show. Better than both of those, especially Mad Men.

Hmmmm.......looking at all the Emmys Mad Men and Breaking Bad have been nominated for and won. Still looking for some for Walking Dead.........OH HERE'S ONE! BEST MAKEUP, GRATS HEMMY!

oh man. emmy smack.

Hey, did you guys know people smokes a lot and cheated on their wives in the 60s? I learned that. Leeaarned while bettering myself through television.

If that's all you see Mad Men as then it's no wonder you're defending The Walking Dead.

Mad Men is about smoking like Walking Dead is about Zombies.

If you like it, watch it Stevesie.

I don't avoid watching 2 and a half men because it had better ratings than breaking bad, I don't watch it because its terrible.  Popularity has never been the best judge of art.

I was already on the fence about TWD after the awful season finale. I mean, they built up this epic showdown the whole season, make the 3 episodes leading up to it super boring leading one to believe they're going to compensate for it with the finale, and boom, a two minute showdown with little action or conclusion in which the Governor and Rick don't even meet. I stuck with Dexter because at least it's fun to watch, and I was thinking about sticking with TWD because of the middle few episodes of season 2, but it's not fair that a show that awful gets those kinds of numbers.

I like TWD because of zombies, even if they are few and far between at times.  I do not make judgments on its quality.  Just that is has zombies.  Which it does.  I know you probably like to perceive television more as a medium of art.  Some people perceive it purely as entertainment.  I have shows for each, TWD is entertainment

I don't really care about fairness, but yeah. The pace is annoying. I would watch a FSN No Huddle version of it if I could.

The Walking Dead haters are adorable.  No surprise since the best usually have their fair share.

MJ, LeBron, A-Rod, Johnny Football, etc, etc, etc.....

The 3 episodes leading up to it were fine. The butthurt is so high about the finale that people have retro-actively decided to hate the rest of season 3. Its just like season 4 of Dexter, but opposite. People loved the ending so much that they forgot there was a lot of dumb crap going on that season that they gladly ignore.

i think most people get mad about TWD because they think it needs more zombies, but it's not about the zombies, it's a character show.

But whatev.

I agree.

I don't think it is as good as Breaking Bad, but it is still a great show.

I think as a character show, it's not very well done. That's why I want zombies.

Yeah, I easily dislike 2-3 characters on Dead. I can't think of any on Mad Men that I wish would get eaten.

I has the worst character development I've ever seen on a show. The guy who wrote the episode in which they go and find the black guy in season three and he has all those traps set up and stuff is writing all of season 4. Turns out everyone realized the character development is awful since he's the only one who did a decent job of developing the characters they turned the reigns over to him.

I never watched it for the zombies. I like the idea that they basically have to create a new set of morals to live by in a fallen world. However they tried to turn it into an action show with a hero and a villain and failed miserably.

sounds like season 4 will be really good, with such a terrific writer at the helm!

Ya, I'm pretty pumped.  Going to watch it after Boardwalk, on a slight delay, so I can skip commercials.

Pretty good episode, but if you watched the comic con trailer it already spoiled how nerdy story time kid died.

I thought it was pretty good too. They def stepped up the zombie exploding factor. Also about half of the comic con trailer was from the first episode which I liked because it leaves a lot of mystery.

Oh man, the dork from Everyone Hates Chris is about to make crap real.  Also, seems like the advertising could be a little more subtle than showing Rick in front of a totally busted chain link fence.

Also, the crazy woman.....she looked like a zombie for ever.  I half expected her to turn out to be some new kind of zombie that can talk now.  I expect we will see her again since Rick left her, but if not, what purpose did she serve?

The Store scene was crazy awesome.
