I thought last night's episode was actually pretty good. It was devoted almost entirely to character development and, while it often came off as a bit contrived, at least they're trying. In particular, Rick's scene with Corl was pretty good, at least until Corl started talking.
Gabriel, while as one-dimensional as pretty much every other character in the show, should be at least somewhat entertaining when he ultimately betrays the group or redeems himself.
The zombies were extra gooey and nasty looking. Not sure why Rick and crew thought it would be a good idea to descend into the basement to fight them hand-to-hand rather than bludgeon them from above - I guess 'cause they had to for action and stuff.
The Bob scene at the end is an interesting twist and should hopefully lead to something good with the Terminus gang - hopefully soon. The Garrett soliloquys are already annoying. We get it. You used to be good, then you turned into a cannibal, it seems like a bit of a jump and you explaining it over and over again isn't making it more believable.
Reminded me of that scene from The Road, except that The Road is much darker and scarier than Walking Dead without a single zombie.
