So does Kivett take the Royals contract or come back?

Baseball is weird.. if he gets an offer he likes, he should definitely take it

I guess Kivett is slotted to make about $130k in signing bonus for 10th round.  King will get around $300k.

I assume the decision is whether or not coming back gets him into the first five rounds and essentially makes him about $100k more.

Kievett is from Ohio & his favorite team is the Indians.

Yeah, I read that after I posted that stuff.  He's probably gone for sure.

Damn, well good season, we should be pretty good for next year

True this. We have almost the entire team coming back.

This, but we are losing some key pieces. Our three best players in Witt, King, and Kivett are all gone. I really hope Conlon stays.

Basically our entire pitching staff is back but hopefully Brad recruited some studs (doubtful).

A kid we signed from Shawnee Heights was drafted by the Yankees in the 25th round (or something like that).

He'll come to KSU.

we need to hire a decent base running coach, that crap burned us too many times this year. good season, borderline great and we were on the cusp. 2013 will always be the year the #boozecats started and thus titletown

Two biggest games of the year and we lose to schools from Oregon.  This must be how Texas feels about us.

This is awesome coming from a fan of a baseball program who is just now competing in its first ever Super Regional.  KU baseball has a much more successfull program than K-State.  We went to a Super Regional just a few short years ago (lost to UNC) and went to the College World Series back in the early '90's.  Yeah, I'm an Oregon State bandwagon fan, but I've been to Oregon State baseball, basketball, and football games, so I think I'm qualified to speak on their respective programs.  Wetzler is a stud and has been Oregon State's hottest pitcher in the tournament.

NOPE

OregonHawk giving Kansas baseball fake accomplishments.

Quote
The Jayhawks would once again find themselves in a regional in the 2006 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament after winning the 2006 Big 12 Baseball Tournament. That year KU traveled to Corvalis, Ore. for the Corvalis Regional. KU went 1-2 and did not advance.

They didn't even come close to advancing to the supers in '06.

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to make the regionals and not win 2 games. Teams actually do that?

Would be insanely embarassing.  You'd have to lie about it.

Lots of butthurt 'taters in this thread.  No championships in the history of the athletic department is taking its toll.

Maybe to KU fans it really was a super Regional.  They did get one win after all.

All kidding aside, K-State had a very good baseball team this year.  You guys have a classy coach and a good group of players.  I was impressed with what I saw from K-State last night and throughout the season.  2013 was a great year for K-State athletics (and TSC as a whole), and it sucks that you guys missed out on the CWS.

As far as KU baseball making a super regional in the past few years goes, I was mistaken.  KU lost to UNC in 2009 in the 4th game of their regional.  For some reason, I thought KU lost to UNC in the super regional.  Score one for goEMAW there.  You guys were right... I was wrong.  Now I'm going to graciously bow out of this thread so you ladies and gents can discuss your favorite baseball team in peace.
