Next year, KSU should just put a couple of boxes above the bleachers and then just classify all of the seating as a stadium club. Then they can sell booze to everyone.
I am surprised Currie missed this opportunity at the regional this year.

They also allow anyone who can prove they are a townie to crush suds.

this is the most fair and logical solution.

It was a real reunion on saturday.  Saw MHS elites Jake V. and Heath S.

Don't know if this deserves it's own thread but Gene Stephenson is getting the boot at Wichita State.

probably not.  1 post is about sufficient.

maybe we could bring him on as a base coach or something.

I doubt we bring him on as i think we've got a very good staff at the present time.  I just can't believe dude wins conference title and they are likely going to dismiss him.

Media in Wichita report that the AD and the university attorney met with him in his office this afternoon. He then told his players his future was up in the air and all would be decided within 24 hours. Don't know why the AD would have the WSU attorney tag along if Gene's future wasn't dim. He has a year left on his contract-I smell a buyout coming.

I feel like they will try to make a run at BMBH. Anybody know how much Brad makes? Said Stephenson made 531k per year.

So did K-State actually sell booze at the baseball games, or what?

With bonuses, I think Hill will make around 260,000ish this year.  If he wins the NC, tack on another 80,000 (I think).

Gary Gilmore, Coastal Carolina
Todd Butler, Arkansas Associate HC
Matt Deggs, Louisiana Ragin Cajuns Assistant
Doug Schreiber, Purdue
Mike Anderson, ex-Nebraska
Dave Serrano, Tennessee
Brad Hill, K-State
Darin Hendrickson, Saint Louis U

I just can't believe that anymore.  Not when we are going to be making north of $20M-$30M per year from TV revenue as an athletic department and Wichita will be LUCKY to get $3M.

There is no way Wichita can keep up over the long term.

Looks like Gene has the choice--resign or be fired.

I wouldn't be surprised if hill left for wsu. He's pissed at his contract situ and some in the ad are apparently pissed at him for outside the workplace activities. Will be super interesting to see what happens to him after this season.

Why are you trying to ruin the TitleTown vibes!!!!!

Let me believe that John Currie isn't going to kill every program as they reach or match their highest peaks of the last 30 years.
