Probably fair given that our lineup/starting pitchers will look almost entirely different this year. Bishop, English and maybe Karl are probably the only regular position starters who played a lot last year. Ruhl is probably the only returning weekend starter (and he missed a bunch of time last year).

Season opens in two weeks (Feb. 14) and we better be ready - Hughes wasn't messing around with the non-conference schedule.

my 11 year old's travel ball club broadcasts every single game on gamechanger in glorious gamechanger HD with a fence or screen in the way sometimes. you can really hear the parents chatter. but we cannot watch our division 1 baseball team anywhere because that's just not possible to pull off.

Lets up the boys can get that wheel back on the wagon and keep their chowder dry for tomorrow.

Lots of places to get pancakes in MB, and I think that's an appropriate meal for now. Some good griddle cakes.

1 BB, 1 WP, 4(!) HBP (including one to the helmet) in 1.3 innings for JJ Slack (plus giving up 4 runs).

I'd say wearing jersey 99 is appropriate.

Two games, two KSU starting pitchers who can't make it out of the second inning.

Pete Hughes Omahattan Express always lurches and belches out of the station.

Last year they were able to overcome.

I hadn't realized that being a cold weather baseball school meant you send guys out there to repeatedly bean the other team, but I am told such performances are the product of snow.

I suppose maybe it's time to reevaluate those portable pitching mounds in Brandenberry
