:ksu: Very rare for a 3rd baseman to be a lead off guy. Will take!
I think it has more to do with the lack of other options.  I thought he was a SS/2nd at JUCO.

I know it's a long list but does someone know everyone who got Hill'd? I don't feel like digging through this thread. Although it will probably make me sad.
Devinny, stover, landon, matthys, fromson are who i can think of off the top of my head.

Is George Mason good?

Tough to tell with how bad our starting pitcher was.

it's a weird legacy transfer type of thing (Biesma). His former coach, a KSU alumnus, passed away last year during a terrible tree trimming accident at his home. It's a very sad story. I think he will get better. He preformed pretty well at Washburn.

Yea, Yag is a convert to 3B. He split time at 2B with Lance Miles last year and played 2B/SS in JUCO.

As to all of the Hill'd players, 15 non-seniors left the program last year. Miles is the only guy I can think of that got much playing time that hasn't been mentioned already. We only have 14 returners, 22 newcomers. Google isn't allowing me to pull a cached roster from last year, so I can't add to the list at the moment.

DeVinny
Stover
Busch
Matthys
Fromson
Miles

Now I'm digging through posts to try to piece this list together.

DeVinny
Stover
Busch
Matthys
Fromson
Miles
Wivinis

I just reread one of the articles on Anson's death. He still holds the career record for triples at KSU. He was neighbors with my aunt and uncle. When I met him, I was driving my mother and sister home from family Thanksgiving. He thought that I was my father's brother. He was a very, very nice man.  :frown:

Well, I've got some crow to eat. After reading old posts in this thread, I owe Blair DeBord an apology, at least on this blogsite. I only know the guy in passing, and I made some uncool posts about him last season. I don't even know what prompted those now (maybe an interaction at the bars, which would probably have been my fault, if I know me). Anyway, I hope life after BatCats is treating him well. He was a solid defensive catcher.
