Are we doing good now?  I heard we weren't doing good earlier.

The team juked us, wanting us to feel sad by losing, and then they were like "lol jk we were good the whole time"

In reality, I think this team just had some real life kinks to work out.  There were questions as to where the replacement offense would come from with the loss of the Davis and King types. Bigger questions loomed with regard to former relievers stepping into starting roles and probably more importantly untested arms replacing those guys in bullpen roles, plus Matthys had to figure some things out after coming off injury.

You could also say that the schedule has lightened extensively and that the Cats are somewhere in between the early struggles and the current hot streak.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I'm hoping we don't backslide in this two game series. The trip to Norman this weekend has the potential to be a very tough series, and I would feel much better about it if the Cats continue to produce at the plate tonight and tomorrow.

Headed for the Tuesday night game. Looks like it will be damned cold with a strong north wind. March baseball in Kansas? Cats know how to win these games.

Per the forecast first pitch looks to still be nearly 60 at 6:30, low not supposed to go below 41 at night, not what I call damned cold.

The wind tonight made it feel damned cold. Lots of heavy coats and stocking caps when the sun went down. A lot of fans started leaving in the 5th, but we stuck it out. I can endure a lot for a Bat Cats win.

wasn't too bad, I wasn't dressed for the flurries

funny thing about the wind, the 3rd AF out in the 9th flipped his bat when he got a hold of one, but the wind pushed it foul over the right field poll

Apologies in advanced for possibly making Metalhead hate him because of this, but Nate Griep bares a remarkable resemblance to Brady Heslip.

Griep's a Gatorade high school player of the year in Nebraska. Props to him for mushing nubb. Also, can confirm a stud. Will be in the weekend rotation soon.
