Yeah I apologize for that, we aren't very good after all
It's ok slim. Lot's of people have learned the hard way that Brad Hill recruits about as hard as Tom Asbury
Actually the bright spots of the team have been freshman. Will Brennan and Cam Thompson are the only players on the team hitting over .300 and have been our starting left fielder and center fielders since opening day. Catcher Conner Rule has struggled at the plate but has played a lot and has been doing great work behind the plate.
Our pitching has been pretty strong all season and the freshmen are a big part of that. Tyler Eckberg has a sub 2 era and has been a staple out of the bullpen. Jared Marloff has surpassed expectations and has been extremely reliable out of the pen. Freshman Kasey Ford has the highest pro potential on the team, already hitting 96 mph in multiple games this season and has done solid work. Caleb Littlejim got roughed up against Nebraska but has also had some quality outings for the Cats.
Outside pitchers Jordan Floyd and Parker Rigger the senior class, that was supposed to be the strength of this team, has been a disappointment.
So recruitment isn't necessarily the issue.
