I met thomas keller at an event in yountville last weekend. he was in a dunk tank (I didn't throw) for a big bastille day party at bouchon. was pretty fun. there were a bunch of german guys with a camera crew following them around shaking everyones hands but I didn't know who they were. I was about a 6 on the wine pak'd scale so that could have had something to do with it.

"I didn't feel the earthquake because I was playing the cajon at the time"

That's actually me tonight, but it felt like a super San Francisco thing to say.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Also, rumors (incorrect) of a bar/music venue closing brings out awesome strawman-destroying comments.

Holliday, who also manages and books The Chapel, says she feels like the venue will have to do what Slim's did and shell out more money for soundproofing: "We are going to end up with the same problem. It's baffling."
