The great thing about Shane is that he is able to do so many things well. I would say that he is aggressive, but not necessarily in his shot. He always seems to be looking to make a play and can accomplish that via backing down a smaller defender, shooting the j when they back off of him, or creating for others. If Shane forces anything it is in his facilitation game, but even that is something that we can surely all live with. His variety of skills also keeps him, imo, from trying to force shots.
Would a Shane who forces his shot more often be better for KSU? I'm not sure. His percentages would likely go down but I can't figure what the trade-off would be. Personally, I'm good with him taking what the defense gives shot-wise and facilitating when the open look isn't there. It seems to be working well for him.
