I have Under Armour.  They work.  Never ripped before, however they do seem to wear down (for lack of a better way of describing it) within about a couple of years.  That could be just typical wear and tear for compression shorts though.

i've worn nike and adidas and both are fine. the nike ones i've worn consistently for about 3 years now and they are just now starting to develop holes in the chaffing area. doesn't rub enough to make me stop wearing them though, yet.
