I agree with dax that it’s silly to take a thing a person said and declare that to be the stance of some organization (real or imagined).
Certainly after the thing they said turned out to be a mega failure.
This is known by logicians as the Fallacy of Composition. And yes, it's basically all dax does.
As an anecdotal example, my own father is still participating in the boycott of the NFL, dating back to Colin Kaepernick. He's very stubborn about it.
I repeatedly provide examples to illustrate the persistent #blueanon meltdowns, and the vast majority of time it comes from the very pinnacle of #blueanon media, thought and political leadership.
It's not a couple of rando twitter users, or some anecdotal thing that isn't really happening regarding someone's dad
