not to put too fine a point on it...but wouldn't an anthropologist be the expert regarding being a lady?
Ask a physical anthropologist and a cultural anthropologist and you'll probably get 2 different answers
This is definitely true, but at least from what I know, physical anthropologists aren’t interested in defining male/female or race. They just classify within the framework provided.
As a kind of funny example, when I studied it human bones only were classified in one of three races: caucasoid, negroid, and mongoloid.
