Bill Clinton lost the nuclear codes for two months, his staff covered for him twice when the DOD sent their rep to check on the nuclear "biscuit".   Required a total overhaul of the policy for handling that situation. (pro tip:  This happened right around the time Bill quietly signed off on allowing the Chinese to buy very powerful computers from the United States).   

Everybody just laughs about it now.  Oh that Bill . . .  everybody piles on to explain about how much redundancy there is in the system, its was just a big silly mistake by that crazy sax playing Pres  :thumbsup:
