This one's my favorite. They're comparing data of a virus that spanned for nearly a year to one that has been around in the US for barely a month. Also, that difference in mortality rate is staggering.

Second, “a month versus a year” isn’t nearly as big a difference as a couple thousand versus 60 million (unless you’re Dan Rather and can’t do math), especially as we are headed into the warmer temps of spring and summer. Third, comparing death rate at this point is also meaningless because the number of confirmed cases is likely going to spike as testing becomes more available.
So while this meme is probably too pithy, on the whole a little more perspective from the media would be good. At this point, I’m guessing COVID-19 probably isn’t going to be on par with H1N1. But back then Twitter and Facebook were still in their relative infancy.
