At the Wamego parade, when the Pottawatomie County Democrat Club went by, I heard a guy say, "I'm surprised they aren't waving China flags!" It also went from random cheering and hub bub to almost complete silence when they passed.

something similar happened with our friends when the NRA walked by at our parade. They told their kids to cheer for military, and they thought the NRA was military so they cheered and one of the parents got kind of embarrassed.

My fave sign has been "denial ain't just a river in Ethiopa." It's my fave because its so absurdly clever and esoteric. I can't help but respect someone who enters a life-threatening environment carrying a sign that's like equivalent of "Obama bring back arrested development".

I mean, there's machine gun fire and they're ducking but still marching while carrying signs that are a pun referencing an issue no cares/knows about in a language not their own that roughy 50 people will enjoy.
