On an anecdotal level.  The last two times I've been to the gun range with my 1 pistol "arsenal"  which consists of a Ruger .22 target pistol. 

It was like 75% black dudes and they were tearin it the eff up with some serious fire power. 

I got to fire one dudes .41 Mag revolver the last time I went.
