Somebody is really going to have to provide a good explanation as to why we can't have a lights out intro with a Harley kicking ass and smoking the place out at mid court in the Octagon before every game.

Just look at that STUD.

Widening concourses is so boring. Who cares? Spend money on the parts that show up on TV and just make them look awesome. Never have I hone to a game somewhere and been like, "Man that arena was trash but the concourses are so wide! "

Agreed. Waiting on CC to confirm that we'll be removing all concourses. :users:

Good idea, Skinny.  Maybe just have doors at the top that open up to the outside?

sell the doors on ebay, use money to buy better stuff for inside arena

don't really need doors with how nice the weather has been the past couple of winters

if the powers that be think that paint for the stairs is better, then yes, i say do it.  we could also sell the roof on ebay/craigslist and just use a tarp in cases of inclement weather.

When we get rid of the concourses, we'll need to add lots of vendors going up and down the aisles selling food and drinks and stuff.  I think an otter pop vendor would be pretty unique and add lots of character to the K-State brand, and the Big XII.

(But srsly, widening the concourses is not exciting at all. Maybe we should all just lose a few pounds.)

Maybe we should just widen the tunnel and have one entry / exit point for everyone.  Fans, players, everybody just come on in under the Briggs tarp.  But the opposing team doesn't get to come in until everybody else.

This would also eliminate the need for doors at the top.  I'm not a fire marshal but I would have to think this would be fine.

I thought the reason the practice training facility didn't actually connect to Bram is so that it didn't qualify as an addition and thus require Bram be brought up to current codes because just doing that would be huge before the cost of the add on facility or proposed changes to other stuff?  iirc, there was a pretty large price tag on just the code issues.

That is correct.

incorrect, according to A+ source the connecting tunnel would have been millions$.

Yes, but the Harleys get to come in first and really smoke it up for everybody.

You are both correct. Tunnel under Bramlage was cost prohibitive, due to the way Bramlage was constructed. Connecting the buildings in any way would have forced millions of dollars to spent on bringing Bramlage up to current code.

which is an incredibly ridiculous amount of money to spend to move athletes the 100 yards it is from the BTF to their locker rooms.
