I like the Bram. The seating configuration is not the best, aisles are too wide, the tunnel/tarp sucks, the court needs to be refinished, and it would be nice to have more suites, but overall, it's a pretty good venue for basketball. It's loud. I don't mind the concourses - I spend very little time up there.

As for the Bram "crowding" the SEZ of BSFS, that's stupid. We're never in the life of those facilities going to add a full upper deck in the SEZ akin to what we've got on the East Side. The proximity of the buildings does, however, provide lots of interesting opportunities to connect them with a shared concourse, suites, hall of fame, etc.

It would be nice if the facilities were a bit closer to the main campus, but overall we've got a pretty good complex.
It would be nice if the concessions in the OOD were not garbage. I think they are still working off the original shipment of nachos that they got back in 1990.

I hope they never change. Stale nachos and questionable hot dogs are part of attending sporting events. Anywhere else they'd be gross, but I wolf that crap down at a basketball game. It's tradition. :lick:
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Bramlage has some potential. Extend the awning that says "Kansas State University" atop of the club section all the way around the arena and put an electonic ribbon on the front of that awning, encircling the arena. There really isn't a bad seat in the building and it holds in noise. Ahearn is neat, but its too outdated, small, and a ginormous fire hazard.

maybe combine all 4 bram screens together into one mega screen and put that over at the Toint.

or just pull it down as is and put in on that truck thing like someone brainstormed earlier
its been all but confirmed that the toint is getting one of the vb's from bsfs

Why in the world would the new daktronics deal not also include a new board for TFS?
no idea. when we did our "tour" of the WSC it was discussed that the south board coming down would be great for the baseball stadium. maybe they planned something with two boards one for replay one for stats. it was back in august so obviously things could have changed

That video board is 18 years old

The boards in BSFS, both North and South were installed in 2005.   Both were HD Ready LED Boards.

The article is wrong.  The original board in the NEZ was a Sony CRT based Jumboton.   They gutted the innards in 2005 and put in a Daktronics LED based board.

Do pools really cost that much money??

I like the Cowboys style all LED Bram Board.  Maybe an Octagon stat "circle" underneath the main board to keep with the theme.

Move the big south endzone board at BSFS to Boozecat stadium and put the baby north one on the outside of the East side for tailgaters to watch until the facade is redone.  Put monster boards inside BSFS.

get this idea to ADJC.

should do something similar to this, but instead of the top and bottom circular ribbon boards, make them Octagonal

It will be similar to that.  In fact that is one of the designs that is being used as inspiration.  Currie has that exact pic on his phone.

That Arizona board cost $2.4 million, plus it will "generate a profit of $120,000 each year because of the advertisements." I saw somewhere 200ft of ribbon boards cost about $350,000 installed. So we could completely overhaul the look of the fOOD with about $3 million. Which leaves roughly $9 million of the proposed $12 million ($9.6 mill w/ no ribbon boards) for the Toint and BSFS.

Prices could also be a little cheaper w/ the package deal doing all 3 venues. Will wait for SonofDaxtronics to confirm/deny numbers.

Damn that's an expensive board. Doesn't leave a ton to do the wifi like we need to go along with big boards. Hopefully moving a board to boozecats is in the plan since that will be like a 15k operation

hang beasley and pullen's jerseys. build a non-permanent platform for the band in the tarp area. put in miles and miles of ribbon board. sweet boxes on the alumni side.

the vertical part of the steps are going to stay white so that people don't trip.

Imagine this....

Perry Ellis steals the ball and starts a fast break down the court, two steps before he get ready to jump the floor operator makes the floor disappear and projects a pit filled with sharks and maybe even those sharks have lasers.
