Yeah, that's not a professional photo at all (unless she is an aforementioned escort). All for women wearing what they want, and they shouldn't be censored for wearing certain clothes. But you can and will (and frankly should) be judged on your professionalism based on how you are dressed. Not the worst thing I've seen on LinkedIn though, seen plenty of people use selfies, which to me is somehow worse.

Did you know:

LinkedIn refuses to stop emailing you.  Uncheck all the notifications you want, click unsubscribe, do whatever: you will still get at least weekly emails from them.

It reminds me of that Kobe Bryant joke

I'm premium and they've never bothered me with emails, unless it was a candidate reaching back out to me. Even when I wasn't premium it was like this.

Yeah, I get emails from linkedin where it is obvious that they got my mail email address from someone who has me in their contact list - because they used some "find out who else is on linkedin" function or whatever. The email I get will be like "connect with these people on linkedin" and show the person who has me in their contact list along with other people who are surely in their contact list as well.

Yes fanning is one of those guys that sends you a friend request on LinkedIn even though you have no idea who he is.

guys in the last couple months i have gotten a bunch of linkedin emails from head hunters...but they all work for the same company and from what i can tell they all sit in the same office.  Like one will email me, i ignore it, and then a few days later i get the standard fill in the blank boiler plate email from the next one.

Now that i have about 7-8 email addresses, I want to copy all of them on the same email and just say "Guys - no."

WC08 am i being a huge jerk for that or would that be the kind of thing where they would all maybe look at each other and be like "heh yeah i suppose we can be a little pushy sometimes  :Ugh:"

You're not being a jerk at all, that would piss me off and make our company look poorly. I'd reply to one of them and let them know the situation so they can update their database/team. That would be so embarrassing if I knew my team was so unorganized, we couldn't tell if we were hitting up the same candidate.

Pro tip: Tell them you're not interested right now and to maybe follow up with you in a year. They'll stop bothering you and you never know where you'll be in a year. Less trash in your inbox and better potential from some dumb n00b hitting you up non-stop.

I get hit up by recruiters about once a month on linkedin. I typically reply with a boiler plate response along the lines of"I am currently happy with my current position and compensation but am always open to new opportunities. What is the salary range for this position?"

If they dont provide a number I ignore them and if the number is high enough I'll keep the conversation going and take a phone call with them.

Well played. I usually give a range of earning potential for the area I'm recruiting in. My reply rates are sick!
