Dimel, Miller, and Hayes all seem like guys that have exhausted any head coaching future and are content at being a coordinator for the rest of their careers.  Essentially if they and Snyder get along great, they will be in it together til' the end.  Makes sense that (so far) we are only seeing position coach changes.  Best time for those guys to leave after a Dr. Pepper and BCS birth.

Dimel is only 50.

Who could comfortably retire at any point in time, and who already had two head coaching stints.
Can we stop touting this year's "BCS birth" as some sort of accomplishment. I'm mean we got curbed-stomped and clearly appeared as if we did not belong. I'm only claiming the Dr Pepper.
A bowl win means, like, nothing. Bowl invitations are indicative of the season you had. Losing a BCS type bowl is way cooler than winning a whogivesashit.com bowl.
I would trade a Fiesta invite for Cotton Bowl hardware in a heartbeat.

is it because you're a dumbass?
SD knocks it out of the park!

To all of my Kstate friends... all 2 of you!
'
It is well appreciated that you allowed Coach Smith to come to our great state to continue his climb into the upper echelon of college football.

Coach Smith is well intentioned and very well liked by our fanbase already.  He was a top 10 Big 12 recruiter, and with all of that Texas and KS and New Orleans knowledge, he will be a great addition to our already all star cast.

Can you imaging Randy Shannon, Coach Smith, Jim Chaney all with coach B.B... BTW, it was such a joy to meet several of you at the cotton bowl in 2012.  Hope to meet you there again in the near future.

Peace and God Speed!   :surprised:

"top 10 Big 12 recruiter"?  LOL

I heard a rumor last week that Brandon Clark was leaving Derby to come back to KSU and coach.  Didn't hear a position and I don't believe it but now it is looking more plausible. Source: small town rumor

his parents are shitty drivers

SOURCE: A+

Why does this feel like the part in the movie when we learn something honorable about the hero's past that makes him look like an bad person, and everyone turns on him.

We all know the past already.  Bill works his assistants into the ground and he/his boss pays them less than others offer for working fewer hours and not micromanaging every minute of their day.  Bill's system works for the program in the long run.  It doesn't work well for the assistants in the long run.  At least will Bill you think he's doing what's best for the program, even if he loses some people.  The problem now is on top of the micromanaging, they also have Bill's boss trying to be the best junior detective he can be to fix his image after he got Pearl'd.  There are now two public pieces of data for this.  Currie's not worried about what's best for the program, but for his resume for the SEC.

There doesn't need to be somethign we need to learn to explain the two defections.  We already know enough.

Junior detective/pissing off super star head coaches is not a good resume for the SEC.

JFC, Bill is not pissed at Currie.

in the nicest way that i can possibly ask this... do you think bill likes working for currie? if not, do you think he's even neutral to the fact? if not, do you think that a day goes by where bill doesn't think that he'd rather be working for the previous regime? i already know the answer and will await yours in order to either deem you to be a mouthpiece or not.

Hell yes, Snyder would rather be working for the previous regime, because the previous regime treated K-State athletics like their own personal bank.   No doubt Snyder's accountant is having to get a lot more creative with those standard paychecks coming to Bill through the comptrollers office in Anderson Hall . . . and not lump sum payments timed to lesson the tax burden coming from athletic department accounts issued by the previous "yes man" athletic department financial guy.   Issued out of accounts set aside for "emergency" travel, like (for example) when K-State teams make the post season etc. etc.     The same athletic department that was paying a senior administrator at K-State "consulting fees", the same athletic department that was processing expense reports from a university president that contained $1000 bottles of wine etc. etc.

Absolutely none of that would have bothered me, if the athletic director wasn't saying stuff like, "we just don't have the money to do that" . . . while he's paying himself hundreds of thousands of dollars in "consulting fees" on top of his regular salary.

The only person I give a pass on that, is my man Bob "EMAW" Krause, whose name appears on nearly every single donation list of significance that K-State has had over the last few years.

Clint Bowen is still at #20straightconferencelosses?

Didn't realize that until I saw a #20straightconferencelosses coach took a lateral (after one year) to TCU.
