My god we averaged like 5 NFL draft picks a year from 99-2003, if we can put 5 plus into the draft this year, we would officially be BACK!

Been seeing a few mentions of Felix and Brents but has anybody seen any actual numbers from Felix's workout at the combine yet?  Pretty sure Edge/LB and D-line have been running/benching, etc. but I could be wrong.

He's not doing that, I assume he'll do all that at K-State's pro day

Just a touch slow but his other measurables are crazy.

82 5/8 wingspan, longest ever (for a corner at the combine)

Being big doesn't matter if you caught napping. Maybe he'll improve at pro day. He was terribly slow off the line.

Mel Kiper predicts Felix in the first round to the Chiefs

31. Kansas City Chiefs
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE, Kansas State

The Chiefs let JuJu Smith-Schuster leave in free agency, and their wide receiver depth chart looks a little thin. I thought about Jalin Hyatt (Tennessee) as a new deep threat for Patrick Mahomes, but I'm going to trust in Andy Reid's ability to find contributors just about anywhere. That leads me to the edge rushers, and Anudike-Uzomah is a player I really wanted to get in these predictions somewhere.

There's some buzz among NFL teams about Anudike-Uzomah after the combine. He had a great workout there, and he was super productive in college, racking up 19.5 sacks over the past two seasons. Kansas City replaced Frank Clark with Charles Omenihu, so Anudike-Uzomah likely would be a situational pass-rusher as a rookie.

From oscar Feldman's mock draft on The Athletic

Quote
Teams without a first-round pick
36. Los Angeles Rams: Julius Brents, CB, Kansas State
It wouldn’t shock me if Brents vaults into the first round. That may not line up with a lot of other media draft chatter, but the coaches I spoke to were really impressed with him last season. He also has ideal measurables for the corner at 6 feet 3, 199 pounds with 34-inch arms to go with jaw-dropping testing numbers at the combine: an 11-6 broad jump and a 41 1/2-inch vertical. Only Smith-Njigba ran quicker shuttle times. Brents’ 40 time was more modest: 4.53. On the field in 2022, the Iowa transfer had his best season, picking off four passes and making 45 tackles for the Big 12 champions. Brents was not physical at Iowa; he really matured at K-State, over time doing something of a 180 becoming way more physical and tougher. It’s really going to pay off for him, learning what it takes to become a top player.

The Coaching Intel

“He made huge improvements over the last two years. He got a lot better in man coverage. He used to play real high and get beat on the line of scrimmage. You can tell he got his flexibility better. He played back more and got more confident. He could really set the edge as a cornerback.”

“He’s just so physical, and they really ask their guys to be there in run support. He’s very aggressive and he’s incredibly long and athletic. He was the best corner we saw.”

Did Malik participate in the combine? I kind of expected him to be a 6th/7th round guy
