The Athletic's Dane Brugler expects to see Kansas State OL Dalton Risner at both guard positions and at center during Senior Bowl practices.

Risner (6'5/308) started his collegiate career at center before heading to right tackle, but it seems like he's headed towards kicking back inside for his NFL career. NFL scouts told Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline that Risner is a seventh-round prospect, but that feels really low. Perhaps the scouts gave him a Round 7 grade as a tackle, and he'll be graded higher at center or guard. Brugler currently has Risner ranked as the second best center prospect, so a strong showing at the Senior Bowl should put him on the Day 2/3 borderline at least.

WTF...didn't somebody post on here a few days ago that he'd be the 7th pick in the first round according to one site???

I haven't seen anything close to that high since he was a sophomore. I didn't think day three guys get invited to the senior bowl.

Dalton is a huge stud in basically every way possible, you would be hard pressed to find an all around bigger stud in emaw history

Looks like a beneficial week for him.  Would be amazing if he went day 1 but I still think day 2.  B12 and playing RT is going to hurt him some.  I hope he got some good tape going against the Miss St D-line.

Risner playing for the Broncos would be awful.  I would hope he would have personal success...but I would also hope his team doesn't win a game.

The Draft Network's Jon Ledyard writes of Kansas State OL Dalton Risner, "[W]e’re really running out of reasons why he shouldn’t (be drafted in the first round)."

"His dominant Senior Bowl week combined with better measurables than expected, high character and terrific tape are going to be tough for every team to ignore," Ledyard explains of the 6-foot-5, 308-pounder. He additionally notes that Risner's versatility along the line should serve as an added plus for his draft stock. The Kansas State product not only rocked it over the practice week in Mobile, but also reportedly aced his interviews with interested squads. Concludes Ledyard, "He isn’t getting a lot of buzz, but at the very least Risner should be a lock for the top 50."

Draft Wire's Luke Easterling projects the Minnesota Vikings to select Kansas State OL Dalton Risner with the 18th pick in his latest 2019 Mock Draft.

This one makes a lot of sense on paper, and we expect to see this connection more going forward. Risner was excellent in the senior bowl, and as The Draft Network's Jon Ledyard wrote, , "[W]e’re really running out of reasons why he shouldn’t (be drafted in the first round)." He can play multiple positions, and he's been an analytical darling. There are concerns about upside and athleticism, but his production and ability to play center, guard or right tackle make him one of the highest floor offensive lineman in the class.

Because it's only 2 players out of a whole roster of terrible talent.
