I want to see Sams start, play the entire game, and dance in the endzone right in the haterz fat faces.
Who are the haterz?

If you don't think Sams should be the starter and receiving a majority of snaps, it's you.

again, I'm not sure those people actually exist on this blog. I really feel like we've all been arguing for the sake of arguing*.

I think most everyone here wishes Sams was the starter. The haterz must be the wild wildcats coaching staff. :sdeek:

We'd be 2-0 and ranked in the top 20 if Waters had picked Penn State.

So every single person here agrees Jake should be benched for Sams and the coaches are kind of being morons and probably cost us a win because of their stupidity? I guess I stand corrected.

I haven't seen anyone arguing otherwise. I certainly feel that way.

the only thing I've been arguing is that just because sams fits this offense better and should be starting and playing most (if not all) of the snaps, we shouldn't feel the need to make jake out to be a scrub.  he appears to be a very serviceable passing qb who may very well come in handy at some point during the season.  remember when our defense blew ass 2 years ago and we tried to have klein pass the ball because we fell behind and crap just got worse?  well...our defense blows ass again.

also please note that I'm not inferring that sams passing is equivalent to klein.  he may be just as good as jake, we just don't know.  we do know that jake can move the ball through the air if we need that at some point.

I like Sams because he's fun to watch and fits into a very effective, comfortable formula.  Unlike seemingly everyone else, I have no idea if he'd win more games than Waters.

The only thing I was pissed about re. Freeman's first year is that we waited so long to burn the redshirt (which wasn't until the Baylor game IIRC).  Either go with him earlier or redshirt the entire way, I thought.

I agree completely; RP's easing Freeman into the season was one of the dumbest things he did as head coach at K-State.

Sams would have beat NDSU with the gameplan that Waters was asked to execute. If Waters would have been allowed to be a passing QB and then we ran off of the pass instead of vice versa he would have beaten NDSU.

No, I'm serious. It seemed clear to me that Freeman was going to eventually be the starter, why wait until Baylor to really play him?

I apologize for continuing to pollute this thread to an already beaten up talking point though.

You have nothing to apologize for. So you think we beat Baylor with Josh starting? My recollection of that game isn't perfectly clear. I think he passed it well when he came in to start the 2nd half but we couldn't run at all so we kept getting bogged down and lost a relatively close scoring game??? No way we beat Louisville with Freeman.

No, I don't think we win either of those games, but I don't think there was much benefit from waiting either. Throw the kid out there and let him play, he obviously showed that he had a ton of ability by the end of the season.

By god if I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed MIR and I seem to agree.  By the way this isn't any great revelation, cause most of the fans around my section were all saying the same thing during the last game. :th_twocents:

So, the answer to who would win more games between Sams and Waters is neither?  Seems more believable than saying that one would win more than the other.

Checking the box score, it appears our entire offense was atrocious throughout the entire game.

Quote
Kansas State (3-2, 0-1) lost its sixth straight Big 12 opener, and first road game for new coach Ron Prince -- who switched quarterbacks after halftime and plans to stick with freshman Josh Freeman "for the foreseeable future." The Wildcats play Oklahoma State at home next week.

"We're not looking back," Prince said. "I felt Josh gave us the best chance to move the ball. ... I'm not looking for a silver lining."

Freeman, who graduated high school early and went through spring drills, was 11-of-33 for 196 yards with three interceptions. He was 3-of-14 in limited action the first four games.

Dylan Meier regained his starting job in the spring and preseason camp after missing last season with a shoulder injury. But the senior has completed only half his passes this year, including 11 of 22 for 100 yards against Baylor.

Leon and Tommy Guns combined for 45 yards on 21 carries.  3-19 on third down.

I think the real problem that's brothering everyone in this thread, is the shitty coaching calls(plays) for the type of QB we have.  These old assholes aren't going to bend tho.

Sams could of ran zone read every down and beat NDSU but we would of had to open the play book to for Waters and he still would of needed to be better on 3rd down
