For completely selfish reasons I hope we end up in Austin.

As we get closer to March, i will have weekly breakdowns of the teams that are "seed wise" right there with K-State, but here is a my quick thought about where we are right now.   I think we are a solid 5 seed.    We have 4 nice wins (1 of them a great win.  OU/OK St are top 35 rpi teams who are prob 7-9 seeds right now)

IMO right now =
4 seeds -- Ohio St, Butler, Cincy, Minnesota
5 seeds -- Oregon, KState, Marq, Creighton
6 seeds -- Gtown, UNLV, NC State, Wich St
7 seeds -- Pitt, Ucla, SD St, OK St

Of the 6/7 seeds, Georgetown is the only one that has a resume on par with us.    They have only 4 losses and 3 nice wins ( Lville, at ND, Ucla)

And our resume is better than 5 seed Creighton and Marq too --
Creighton =  Only 3 losses, but they have only 1 top 50 win (Wisc on nuetral court) and their SOS is about 126
Marq =  They, like us, only had 1 top 100 win in the non-con and their win is vs Wisky.  They do have good rpi/sos (13/16)

Wichita State is very overrated. So is Oregon.

My favorite things about bracket watching are statsheet.com's seed predictor and kenpom's s-curve.

Edit: BTW,        statsheet.com -   StatSeed: NCAA Safe #4 Seed grouped with Butler, Mich. St. and Ole Miss
kenpom           -   #27 S-curve of a #7 seed  grouped with Ole Miss, G'Town and Wich. St.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Looks like that's not updated, _Fan.  We're 17-4 and WSU is 19-4.

Yeah, I just noticed the info I got to compile it was from before Saturday's games. Also, our non-D1 win doesn't count.

It'll only show us as 16-4 after it's updated.  One of our wins was against a lower-division team (the team that beat UNT the game before we played in that tournament at the start of the year).   Thanks TastyGreek!

Looking at those numbers, Creighton is garbage and we should be a 4

Agreed. Creighton's losses include Boise State by double digits and Drake.

Lunardi's bracket, as usual, is not well done. Iowa State would not be paired with KU in a round of 32 game. The SI bracket will be out this afternoon, should be a better one.

IMO most of the actual brackets this time of year are junk, but I like watching the progression of seeding trends and comparisons between teams battling for seeds.

Yeah he's insufferable. One of his a couple weeks ago had both Kansas City pods in the same region

He's terrible IMO. He does this stuff all the time. I only think that he still has this job because he was Bracketology before Bracketology was cool.

Yeah Lunardi isn't that great.  My final projection (right b4 selection Sunday) is by no meens perfect, but each of the last 4 yrs I have been closer with projected seeds than him.

That being said there are a few people on that BracketProject site that are absolutely clueless. Last week somebody had us as a 10 and Wisky as a 4.

I always wonder if these are current snapshots if the tournament were today or end of season projections.
