We either lose the first game to a play in team or we make it to the Four..

So what pushed Marquette over us?

They went 14-4 (like us) in conf play, but i guess the committee liked their 13th SOS to our 56th SOS and thought 14-4 in BEast was more impressive

I thought before the conf tourneys that Marq was barely ahead of us, but when we made B12 finals and they lost in BEast qtrs, we would move above them.  Guess not

I'm the most butthurt about New Mexico over us.  They beat nobody outside the mtn west.  And they have some bad losses.

My pleasure.   I really like to break down all the stuff that goes into bracket projecting.      Lots of people who follow men's CBB are not really that impressed with the 10 man committee who did the selecting

The top 4 seeds were fine.   I had us as the last 3 seed and we got a 4.   I had SLU as the best 5 and they got a 4

Oregon is the one that everyone is talking about and should be.    I have never seen a team from a power conference go 26-8  and go 15-6 vs conf teams and get a 12 seed.   They should have been a 7 or 8 seed.

Another team is VCU, who a lot of people are loving and picking to be a sleeper team for the Final4.    I dont know how they got a 5 seed.
In the non-con,  they lost to Duke and Mizzou then beat Memphis at a tourney.  Then lost to Wich St at home.    In the A-10,  they went 1-4 vs A10 tourney teams (Lost to SLU 2, Temple, LaSalle, and beat Butler)

other ones i shake my head out--
1) Pitt who went 24-8 and 12-6 in BEast.   7 of their 8 losses to top 50 teams.   And they got and 8?
2) SD State getting a 7 seed and being ahead of conf mate Colo St (who got an 8).    Colo St went 11-5 to SDSU 9-7.  And Top 100 record CSU went 11-7 to SDSU 8-10.   SDSU beat Ucla is the one thing they had over CSU
3) Cal getting a 12.   Went 12-6 in the Pac 12.     Their Last 12 they went 9-3 and 5 of those wins were against tourney teams

I would rather be on our side of the bracket than theirs, though. I think Ohio State is better than Gonzaga.

You people trashing Gonzaga are out of your minds. They would rape us again if given the chance.

We could beat Ohio State, and I might actually expect us to.

I would expect us to get the crap kicked out of us by either of those teams. Gonzaga is a good team. So is Ohio State. I just think OSU is a little bit better.
